I don’t like to waste time. Some things like sweeping the kitchen floor, mowing the lawn, and walking the dog aren’t really wasting time, but are time-consuming activities that we must do. These activities don’t take much brain processing power.
One way to make your time more productive is to listen to podcasts while doing menial tasks. If you are a writer like me, you can learn a lot by listening to writer podcasts. But which ones?
I did a quick search on Google for “best podcasts for writers.” Clicking the first ten results yielded 57 suggestions. So I counted up each suggestion as a “vote” and got this list of the top podcasts for authors.
- Writing Excuses
- Dead Robots Society
- Grammar Girl
- The Creative Penn
- Helping Writers Become Authors
- Self-Publishing Podcast
- Portfolio Life
- I Should Be Writing
- The Literary Salon
- The Author Hangout
I was surprised Authority Self Publishing didn’t get recommended much because it is a great resource for self-publishing authors. I offer it up here as a runner-up recommendation.
